CRITERIA

You must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the Leadership Development Project:

  • In grades 9 - 12
  • Possess a positive attitude
  • Be willing to pursue a GPA of 2.5 or better
  • Be recommended by your local high school, community leader/clergy member and employer.
  • Have parent or guardian consent

Only 20 to 35 students will be selected to participate in each Leadership Development Semester. Fifteen successful students completing the course will be considered to serve on the Youth Advisory Board of the Youth Leadership Institute, and the remaining students will be appointed as sub-committee members for the Program Committee, Fundraising Committee, Special Events Committee, and the Public Relations Committee.

A $25 deposit must be paid before enrollment, but is refundable upon completion of the program. A complete program application will be forwarded to you upon receipt of this application and the processing fee.
